2010 Kruse Rocket City Collector Car Auction

Classic car enthusiasts will get the opportunity to view and purchase some of the finest collector cars at the 3rd Kruse Rocket City Collector Car Auction. This auction will take place at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville on the 13th of March, 2010, and it is known as one of the most anticipated collector car auctions in Alabama.

More than 100 automobiles are expected to cross the block throughout the duration of the auction, and these include cars from well-known American manufacturers such as Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, and Pontiac. A number of Harley Davidson motorcycles will also be available for bidding. The vehicles that are offered at the auction range from vintage cars from the 1930s to modern cars of the 2000s. A few of the interesting classic cars that will be put up for sale include a 1932 Ford Highboy, 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car, and 2001 Plymouth Prowler.

The Kruse Rocket City Collector Car Auction will commence at 10.00 am, and admission fee is $10.00 for adults. Those who are parking their cars at the Von Braun Center are required to pay a fee of $5.00. Registration fee for bidders is $30.00, and car buyer premium is 10%. The Goodguys 1st Spring Nationals

The Goodguys Rod and Custom Association is known as the largest hot rod and custom association in the world, and it organizes more than 20 dynamic auto events in various parts of the United States every year. This year, the association will be holding its 1st annual Spring Nationals at the Westworld in Scottsdale, Arizona from March 12 to 14, and the event will feature fabulous displays of automobiles as well as a wide range of interesting auto-related activities.

Visitors to the Goodguys 1st Spring Nationals can expect to see more than 2,000 stunning hot rods, customs, muscle cars, classic cars, trucks, and street machines on display. Some of these vehicles have been remodeled and painted with exciting colors, and they create an amazing visual spectacle when they are lined up at the exhibition grounds. Besides the auto show, there will also be a swap meet, a hot rod cruise, model and pedal car show, the Goodguys Builders’ Choice Awards competition, and others. Those who are interested in testing the performance of their cars and their driving skills can take part in the Street Challenge Autocross.

The Goodguys 1st Spring Nationals will be held from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm on Friday and Saturday and 8.00 am to 3.00 pm on Sunday. Admission is priced at $18.00 for adults and $6.00 for children aged 7 to 12. A parking fee of $5.00 will be charged by Westworld.

The 2010 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance

Since the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance was first held 15 years ago, it has grown to become one of the most prestigious automobile shows in the world. The event will be held from the 12th to 14th of March, 2010 at the Golf Club of Amelia Island at Summer Beach, and it promises to be grander and more exciting than ever before.

Last year, the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance attracted over 15,000 classic car enthusiasts from various parts of the world, and it is expected to draw more people this year. There will be about 250 fabulous cars on display at the show, and some of these are vehicles that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. During the main event on the 14th of March, all the participating cars will be lined up at the 10th and 18th fairways of the golf course, creating a stunning scene with the beautiful ocean in the background. The Honorary Chairman for this year’s edition will be 7-time NASCAR winner Richard Petty.

Other than the car show, the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance also features interesting events such as road tours, seminars, art exhibits, auctions, cocktail receptions, dinners and fashion show. Tickets are priced at $45.00 for adults and $20.00 for students aged 12 to 18.

2010 Leake Collector Car Show and Auction in Oklahoma City

The Leake Auction Company is known as one of the leading classic car auction companies in the United States, and it will be holding its annual Oklahoma City auction on the 19th and 20th of February, 2010. The 26th edition of this much-awaited auction will take place at the Cox Pavilion of the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds, and it is expected to draw thousands of classic car collectors and enthusiasts from all over the country.

Attendees of the auction can expect to see a wide range of prized automobiles cross the auction block during the two-day event. The auction will feature a total of 400 vehicles, ranging from vintage automobiles from the 1910s to modern cars from 2000s. Some of the highlights of the auction include a 1915 Ford T-Brass Roadster, 1924 Berliet Tourer, 1936 Plymouth Street Rod Coupe with 5 windows, 1956 Oldsmobile 98 Starfire, 1959 Jaguar Mark IX, and 1975 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. The auction block will be divided into two rings, and two different sets of automobiles will be auctioned off at the same time.

The Leake Oklahoma City Collector Car Auction will begin at 1.00 pm on the first day and 10.00 am on the second day, but visitors are allowed to enter the grounds as early as 9.00 am. Admission rates are $15.00 for adults and $7.00 for children under 12 years old.

The Desert Classic Concours d’Elegance

The Desert Classic Concours d’Elegance offers classic car enthusiasts a chance to view some of the finest collector automobiles. This event will be held at the La Quinta Resort and Club in Palm Springs, California on the 27th and 28th of February, 2010. Even though it is only in its third year, this concours d’elegance has gained a reputation as one of the most spectacular classic car events in the western part of the US.

The event will kick off at 8.00 am on the 27th of February with the Tour Classique in the Old Town area of La Quinta. All the participating cars will gather on Main Street, and spectators can get a close look at the cars and converse with their owners. Then, the cars will be driven along the Coachella Valley, and they will be displayed again at the Cuistot Restaurant, which is the finishing point of the tour. The Concours d’Elegance will take place at 10.00 am the following day, and it will feature over 150 stunning collector cars from museums as well as private collections. Attendees of the event will get to see rare classic cars from around the world, and they will be treated to fine food and beverages, excellent music, and displays of interesting collectible items.

Those who wish to attend the Desert Classic Concours d’Elegance are required to pay a general admission fee of $25.00 per person for advance purchase and $30.00 for show-day purchase. Children who are under the age of 12 will be admitted free of charge.
