This 1979 Camaro is a highly original unrestored factory Z/28 that is believed to have had just 3 owners from new. Formerly in the collection of famed Camaro restorer and builder Heath Elmer, this Z/28 remains extremely original with 12,000 original miles; a virtual time capsule to when it left the Norwood, Ohio plant in November of 1978. It was ordered with the desirable LM1 350 V8 and close ratio 4-speed manual driving a 10-bolt Posi rear end. Hard-to-find houndstooth plaid seats, full instrumentation and desirable center console are virtually flawless, and the AM radio with 8-Track player still works. Likewise, the original red exterior, graphics, stripes and spoilers are in incredible shape, and the undercarriage is in like-new condition. To improve reliability, an updated air cleaner, carburetor, intake and exhaust have been added, and all the factory original parts that have been replaced will be included.
