THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL ROAD RUNNER. UNDER WENT FULL BODY AND DRIVE TRAIN RESTORATION IN 2000. ELECTED TO TRANSFORM OVER TO A 440 6 PAC FROM THE ORIGINAL 383CI, 4-SPEED PISTOL GRIP WITH A FACTORY N-96 AIR GRABBER HOOD. THE COLOR IS FACTORY Tor-Red. THE COMPLETE NUMBERS MATCHING 383 IS AVALIABLE WITH PURCHASE. THE 440 IS A CODE "J" FOR 1973 WITH THE PREFIX OF "HP" FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE. CAME FROM A POLICE INTERCEPTOR VEHICLE. THE ENGINE WAS BORED 30 OVER, IT HAS A STEEL CRANK, 6 PAC RODS AND PISTONS AND THE ROTATING ASSEMBLY WAS BALANCED. THE CYLINDER HEADS ARE THE MODEL 906s WITH A 3 ANGLE VALVE JOB, MILD PORTING, HEMI SPRINGS AND CRANE ADJUSTABLE ROCKER ARMS. THE CAMSHAFT WAS REPLACED WITH A MOPAR PURPLE STRIPE 284/484. THE CAR HAS APPROXIMATLY 4,000 MILES SINCE THE COMPLETE RESTORATION WAS PERFORMED. THE TRANSMISSION IS A HEMI BOX WITH THE ORIGINAL 4 SPEED PISTOL GRIP SHIFTER. A NEW CENTERFORCE CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE AND BEARING WERE ALSO DONE. THE REAR END IS AN 8 3/4" SURE GRIP 3:55 UNIT THAT WAS REBUILT AT THE RESTORATION TIME WITH NEW BEARINGS INCLUDING THE AXLES WITH THE GREEN SEAL SET UP.
SINCE THE ORIGINAL RESTORE THE ORIGINAL AM RADIO HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO A 4 CHANNEL AM-FM STEREO, THE STRUT ROD BUSHINGS WERE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE SWAY BAR LINKS AND LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS. NEW TIRES INSTALLED, BOTH BUMPERS RECHROMED, THE WOOD WHEEL RESTORED, ADDED A 2 1/2" MANDREL BENT "X" PIPE EXHAUST SYSTEM WITH SUMMIT RACINGS OWN MUFFLERS, REBUILT THE 6 PAC CARBS, OPTIMA BATTERY ADDED (4) KYB SHOCK ABSORBERS. THE CAR IS RUST FREE AND SOLID. THE PAINT, STRIPES, INTERIOR, HEADLINER, DASH PAD AND GAUGE LETTERING ARE ALL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ALL GAUGES, LIGHTS, HEATING CONTROLS, BEEP BEEP HORN, AND AGAIN RADIO WORK PERFECTLY. THE CAR HAS FRAME CONNECTORS, HOOKER CERAMIC HEADERS, POWER STEERING, ELEVEN INCH MANUAL DRUM BRAKES ALL AROUND, ORANGE BOX ELECTRONIC IGNITION, A BILLET OVERFLOW COOLANT TANK AND NO FLUID LEAKS AND USES NO OIL. THE FENDER TAG IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
