Restored 1970 240Z Award Winner
This car won second place for stock Zs at the Motorsport Auto
West Coast Nationals in 2008. This is a seiries one Z car built
in May 1970. VIN HLS-30 04268 ( car number 4268) with its
original L 24 engine number 07141. I have spent the money
and done the restoration so you wont have to.
The car is 904 white with blue interior-its original colors. Body
work paint and engine overhaul were done by Spankys in
Mesa, AZ. The engine is de smogged and has the E 31
cylinder head, Z Therapy SU carburetors, Euro balance tube,
280ZX E 12-80 Electronic distributor and Motorsport header,
and five speed manual transmission. It has an Arizona Z Car
cast aluminum oil pan, aluminum cross flow radiator, and sport
springs. Never overheats in 100 degree temperatures. The car
has Datsun Dave Irwins 280 ZX internally regulated alternator
upgrade, headlight relay upgrade, parking light harness
upgrade and side marker upgrade. The dash and console
were resorted by Just Dashes in Van Nuys, CA.
The seats, door panels , side panels and visors all recovered
and new headliner, interior vinyl and carpets installed by Seatz
Manufacturing in Anaheim, CA. The car has air conditioning
with new compressor , expansion valve and Honda blower
motor. Clock restored by Patrick Restorations. Hitachi AMFM
radio and Retro Belt retractable lap and shoulder belts. The
car has a Motorsport spoiler but I also have the original front
valance pieces. IIncluded are four D hubcaps , just need to
get steel wheels. The asking price is the insurance value- I
have well over twice that amount invested in the car.
