R Code, 428CJ with ram air, C6, manual steering, power disc brakes, 3.50 Traction Loc. Gulf Stream Aqua with Gold and white stripes. This is not a numbers matching R-code and I definitely want to make sure that anyone that would buy this knows exactly what they are getting. First, when I bought the car some years ago it had been sitting in a backyard without door glass for almost 18 years. With that said as you can imagine the car needed a lot of work and nearly everything had to be replaced including the front fenders, hood, deck lid, floor pans, and passenger rear qtr., the entire brake system including rotors and drums, the suspension including springs and control arms, all the steering components except the steering gearbox. The trans is original to the car but was rebuilt, the rear center section is not original but does have the correct gear ratio. The exhaust is all new as is the cooling system. The engine has the original heads and intake but the block is Dec 67 cast code but is definitely a CJET. The carb is a 735 Holley U replacement and was redone by Pony Carbs. Most of the chrome was replaced and all of the interior. Also if you didn\\\'t notice I have a couple of mods, the front and rear springs are 1\\\" lower than stock, sub frame connectors, Shelby style traction bars and a 71 Torino Shaker which required modifying the hood. ( I take some grief from the diehard Mustang crowd but the Shaker definitely fits the line of the cars better than the original square one). Since the restoration is now over 7 years old there are a couple of small blemishes forming on the corners of the doors and some chips in the paint.
