FOR SALE: 1969 Chevelle SS 396
1969 Chevelle SS 396 - We recently purchased and are very proud and excited to offer to you three very nice Chevelles from the collection of Chuck Hanson, former co-host of Horsepower TV, host of cable TV\'s Chuck\'s Garage and President of ACES, American Chevelle Enthusiasts Society. This car, \'\'Black Beauty\'\', is absolutely spectacular and is the best of the best. Chuck found this numbers-matching, all original, 24,000 actual mile car in New Jersey a few years ago and bought it from the original owner (we have the original 1969 title). It had been sitting since 1971 in a garage waiting to be resurrected. BODY & PAINT: He bought the car and immediately disassembled it and took it off the frame and completed a nut & bolt rotisserie restoration. Countless man hours and no money spared went into restoring this beautiful Chevelle back to its original form. The body is almost 100% original and one of the straightest we ever had. It is painted original black in base/clear and was buffed and polished to an unbelievable deep luster and shine!! It has all new or re-done chrome, trim and weatherstripping too. INTERIOR: The original Legendary bench seat interior is also brand new!! It still has its original rosewood steering wheel with tilt column and in-dash tach & gauges. ENGINE, TRANS AND REAR: The engine is its original numbers matching 396 c.i. / 350 h.p. big block that was rebuilt to stock condition and is backed by its original numbers matching TH-400 automatic transmission and its original numbers matching 12 bolt posi rear. OTHER FEATURES: Options include power steering, power disc brakes, factory air conditioning, a.i.r. smog system, F-41 suspension, AM/FM radio, original 14\" Super Sport wheels with original, not reproduced, thin white wall bias-ply firestone tires. This car was meticulously and painstakingly built/restored and detailed to a very high standard that you very rarely see. Most of the car is original and what was replaced as much new old stock parts were used. It is documented by its original title, dealer order form and invoice. This car\'s build was published in ACES bi-monthly, Chevelle World magazine but has never been shown and very rarely seen. Check it out but don\'t miss out on this very rare opportunity to not only own a beautiful numbers-matching, 24,000 actual mile Chevelle that was built and owned by a popular TV celebrity and enthusiast this hobby/sport has ever known. Note: this car is to be consigned Primetime to the Barrett/Jackson Classic Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona in January 2014.
