FOR SALE: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro
There aren\'t many cars that say high performance better than a Hugger Orange \'69 Camaro. This one features a warmed-over small block, sizzling paint, and a comfortable interior. If you\'ve been searching for a clean Camaro that hasn\'t been modified or faked into a six-figure show piece, this may be your car. This is indeed an original code 72 Hugger Orange car, and a lot of folks seem to think Hugger Orange is the ultimate Camaro color. Refinished just a few months ago, the body lines up well, gaps are good, and a cowl induction hood has been fitted in true SS fashion, complete with contrasting white SS stripes-honestly, early Camaros just look naked without them. And while there\'s no way to prove whether this is a real SS, the owner chose not to add the hidden headlights, badges, or grille to create a fake RS. The badges that this car does carry are good reproduction items, including the the Camaro script front and rear. Chrome is nice throughout, including the nicely finished front and rear bumpers, as well as the polished trim around the windshield and in the rear quarter panel \"gills.\" There\'s no question this is a handsome car. Inside, you\'ll discover a tastefully restored Camaro interior. The center console houses what might be the coolest automatic shifter ever created, and the seat covers are new. The dash is full of original gauges, and it\'s kind of refreshing not to see some aftermarket instruments stuck underneath. Fresh carpets, new door panels, and a woodgrained dash that kind of warms up the interior all work together to create a classic Camaro look that\'s simultaneously no frills and ultra-cool. New weather stripping cuts down on wind noise and rattles, and gives the car a quality feel. In the trunk, you\'ll find a new reproduction mat that fits better than most. Power comes from a reliable and powerful 350 cubic inch V8. The engine bay is a nice mixture of custom and OEM parts, ranging from the chrome air cleaner to the Edelbrock intake that carries the original Rochester carburetor. Although it wasn\'t built specifically for show, it looks tidy, well-built, and nicely maintained, and some folks-myself included-really like the use of OEM parts for a factory look. Underneath, you\'ll find a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, a Flowmaster exhaust system fed by a set of long-tube headers, and a stock-style suspension. The finishing touch is a set of original style 15-inch Rally wheels wearing 205/65/15 front and 215/60/15 rear performance radials. Some of our favorite cars are those that seamlessly blend OEM components from several generations into one well-built whole. 1969 Camaros never stick around for long, so give us a call today!
