BODY WORK FOR 45 YEARS NOW AND AFTER GOING OVER
THIS CAR FROM BUMPER TO BUMPER IT APPEARS TO HAVE
ALL THE ORIGINAL FACTORY SHEET METEL WITH NO RUST
REPAIRS WHAT SO EVER. QUARTER PANELS, INNER AND
OUTER WHEEL HOUSES, INNER AND OUTER ROCKER PANELS
ALL FLOOR PANELS, DOORS, FENDERS, COWL PANELS,
DECK LID AND HOOD, EVEN THE PANEL BETWEEN THE BACK
GLASS AND DECK LID APPEAR ORIGINAL AND TO HAVE NO
RUST REPAIRS. AN EXCELLENT QUALITY
BASCOAT/CLEARCOAT REPAINT IN THE ORIGINAL FACTORY
COLOR, TARGET RED HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY DONE
WITH ALL TRIM REMOVED. TO THE BEST OF MY
KNOWLEDGE IT IS A NUMBERS MATCHING ORIGINAL
EXAMPLE OF A LANSING BUILT 1965 OLDSMOBILE 442.
THE DATA PLATE SHOWS IT WAS PRODUCED IN THE THIRD
WEEK OF FEBRUARY 1965 AS A CUTLASS SPORTS COUPE
WITH THE 442 OPTION AT THE LANSING MICHIGAN
ASSEMBLY PLANT. THE DATA PLATE CONFIRMS IT WAS
PRODUCED WITH A RED BUCKET SEAT INTERIOR (945B)
WITH THE EXTERIOR COLOR BEING TARGET RED (R-R).

FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING OR SPECIAL COOLING. THE
ORIGINAL ROCHESTER 4 JET CARBURETOR WITH THE
ORIGINAL AIR CLEANER TOP OFF THE ENGINE. THE
ORIGINAL ST300 SWITCH PITCH JETAWAY TRANSMISSION
REMAINS INTACT WITH THE CORRECT STAMPING OF 65NJ
ON THE SERVO. THE CORRECT FACTORY WORKING SWITCH
FOR THE SWITCH PITCH IS STILL ON THE THROTTLE
LINKAGE. IT IS EQUIPPED WITH THE CORRECT 3.23
RATIO REAR GEAR WITH POSITRACTION. THE ENGINE IS
SMOOTH AND TIGHT WITH NO SIGNS OF SMOKING AT ALL.
THE ACCERERATION OF A 60S MUSCLE CAR IS QUITE
APPARENT. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY AND IS
QUITE SNAPPY UNDER ACCERERATION. THIS 442 STEERS
AND HANDLE VERY GOOD AND TIGHT, AS THE FRONT END
HAS BEEN REBUILT WITH ALL NEW BUSHINGS, BALL
JOINTS, TIE ROD ENDS, IDLER ARM, AND RAG JOINT.
AIR CONDITIONER BLOWS COLD AIR FROM THE FACTORY
SYSTEM. BOTTOM END IS CLEAN AND DRY WITH NO OIL
OR WATER LEAKS. INTERIOR HAS NEW UPHOLSTERY AND
CARPET WITH ALL OTHER COMPONENTS REMAINING
ORIGINAL. PADDED DASH LOOKS NEW AND HAS NO CRACKS
AT ALL. THE PAINT HAS ABSOLUTELY NO DOOR DINGS AT
