Power comes from Buick's top of the line 465 Wildcat engine, a 425 cubic inch, dual quad V8, rated at 360 horsepower and 465 lb/ft of torque. Only 3,808 Rivieras were equipped with this engine in 1965, accounting for 11% of total production. An automatic transmission is mated to a 3.42:1 posi rear end and the heavy duty suspension gets the power to the ground and keeps this GS between the lines.
