FOR SALE: Retractable, 57K orig miles, Rust-free
It is a 1959 Ford Retractable; the car sold new in North Carolina,
I have the
original window sticker. It is a three owner car, it has never had
rust or rust
repair, the paint is original except for the rear trunk lid. The top
works
perfectly. The tires, shocks, radiator, heater core have been
recently replaced.
The radiator was a difficult NOS model to find. The tires are
GoodYear Radials.
The 57,000 miles are actual miles. I had originally purchased the
car in 1986
from the second owner\'s wife in King, NC. Immediately I sold it
to a close
friend, a local banker in Raleigh. I repurchased the vehicle in
March of 2006
and have driven it occasionally for special events. I store it in a
climate
controlled basement at my home. The paint is fair at best, due to
its age it
needs to be replaced. The body is absolutely stunning, never any
rust.
Mechanically, the vehicle runs well and is a pleasure to drive. The
front seat is
split but original. Dave Pope, the second owner, replaced the
carpet about
10-15 years ago. The radio works. We have many photos. Please
feel free to
call.
Thank you,
