The collector car hobby has embraced many fine cars from Chevrolet for decades. The 1958 Impala was in the shadows of the 1957 Bel-Air but have turned white hot in the hobby. Collectors have pushed prices right up there with the iconic 57 models. In some cases they are bringing even more than a 57. That has yielded more of these progressive styled offerings being lovingly restored and many more parts available than years ago. This nicely restored Impala Hardtop is a example of the top of the line boulevard cruiser. It is a very special car with a rare paint combination. As show on the original cowl tag code 936A designates Tropic Turquoise & Arctic White that was redone in a modern base/clear multicoat paint application. The code 836 Turquoise, Black, Gray, tri-color interior is all new and is show quality. It is a beautiful combination. Power comes from a rebuilt 348 V-8 tri-power set up, that only has 4000 miles since completion, along with an automatic transmission. Power steering, air conditioning, and power front disc brakes are welcomed additions. All of the AC parts are new so it blows cold. It is a fine running power train with many miles ahead of it. The motor compartment is nicely detailed and looks great. Other notable features are dual exhaust, modified Chevy spinner hub caps, wide white wall radial tires, fender skirts, continental kit, deck mounted rear antenna, new radiator, excellent glass, chrome, and trim. Speaking of the extensive Impala trim, it has all been hand polished and is complete. Even the trunk compartment is nicely detailed. The generator has been converted to an alternator for better performance. A 58 Chevy can be hard to restore on your own with all of the extensive trim and chrome so you are much better off buying one already done like this one.
