FOR SALE: Styled ahead of its time

This restored 1955 Studebaker is a 6 cyl. (186 ci), automatic, 4 door sedan with 96,700 plus miles on it. It does not have power steering nor A/C, but if you so desire, you can add "Vintage A/C" (it is a good product). I have had this car about two years with about most of the first year spent in the shop. The exterior is aqua; however in some photos is shows up as blue, don't know why, but it is AQUA. The paint is still in good condition (by my guess, it was repainted its original aqua color 10-12 years ago). Most of the chrome has been rechomed; there is a scratch on the rear bumper near the license plate. The interior has been redone with hunter green carpet and the seats and headliner in complimentary shades of green. The seat center panels are multi shades of green. The car is garaged when I am not driving it around town or over the mountains. It is a very road worthy car; you could drive it home. I am selling it because I have another car I am going to start restoring, and the "Boss" says one must go. I have the original owners manual, and more important, an original shop manual (a big help). Price $12,000 (USD) OBO John 423-310-9622.

Now for the legalese: the car is being sold as is with no warranty nor any guarantees provided.

PS In the picture of the engine, you will see a paper air filter instead of the oil bath air filter. I removed the oil bath since I did not wish to literally mess with an oil bath air filter. Been there; done that. The original oil bath air filter is boxed up and behind the spare tire; in case you want the car more original.
