FOR SALE: Supercharged Flathead Mild Custom

1952 Ford Customline Tudor Sedan! Mild Custom/ Hot Rod.

This car is beautiful! Powered by a supercharged flathead, this motor was purpose built to be supercharged and runs about 200hp at the flywheel. Reinforced main, ported & polished, Isky Cam, Mallory dual point, Weiand 142 blower, Holley 570cfm 4 barrel, Roadrunner Engineering manifold and pulleys, bored over .080, Red's headers, 10" clutch, 100+ amp alternator, adjustable lifters, special Weisco pistons, painfully balanced (down to the gram). I spent over 100 hours on the engine alone. The tranny is the "old-school" 3 speed with the mechanical overdrive, rebuilt as well. Exhaust runs Smithy's mufflers with 3" echo cans dumping in front of the rear tires. Car is dropped 3" front and rear with JAMCO suspension components. Car is straight as can be. Paint is good. Hood has 138 louvers, nosed and decked. Doors are shaved. Grill is from a 1953 Chevy with 5 teeth. Electrically, the car is 12 volt. Runs an electric (Carter) fuel pump and a Zirgo mega-cfm fan. Absolutely does not have any heating issues, even with the blower, but this is due to the time spent on the motor. The upholstery is grey vinyl with blood red cloth inserts. The headliner is grey, the carpets (also lining the trunk) are red. The windows are smoked glass- only the rear window actually has tinting applied. I built this car in 2001-2003 and have been driving approximately 3000 miles per year, give or take. It's an absolute blast on the highway, and just as fun going bumper to bumper at the cruise-in's. Everything on this car has been gone through. I have hundreds of pictures of the restoration process. So why am I selling this girl? Time for a change- build something different. I am offering this car in three ways. $22,500 gets the car as seen. If you are a purist, I have a completely rebuilt, stock Flathead that I can drop in, and the price drops to $18,500. If you don't want anything to do with old flatheads and 3-on-the-tree trannys, then $16,500 gets the car sans engine and tranny so you can drop in whatever you want and don't have to spend the extra $$$ for a powertrain that you are going to get rid of. This car is a great driver. It has a few chips from being driven- it's not a trailer queen/show car. And it turns heads every time we take it out. The paint is fine for a driver, but if you want a perfect paint job, you will have to shoot it again. The pictures that you see were taken last month, not three years ago, so what you see is the current condition of the car.
