The deluxe model featured the right mix of features and economy to appeal to the middle class suburban family. While these deluxe suburbans wouldn't win any awards for it's speed, it was second only to Ford in gas economy. For a family car with room for parents, 3 children and ample luggage, the deluxe P19's were poised for the next big American pastime - the cross country road trip. From Mackinaw to Yosemite, just about anywhere along Route 66 was accessible with this car. The Plymouth deluxe suburban was the right car at the right time.The deluxe suburban station wagon shown here is in excellent condition from bumper to bumper. The Palm beige paint, evocative of early 50's color themes, is in excellent condition. Chrome is good to excellent with grille and bumpers looking best. Interior has a newly installed look with firm vinyl leatherette seats, tidy dashboard, and clear instruments. Headliner is firm and tight with no stains or broken seams. Interior paint has very minor wear just above the dash and along the side panels in the cargo area. Engine starts up promptly and runs quiet. The car drives excellent and shifts smooth.
