This mild custom 1949 mercury Coupe was a 3 year restoration project. Originaly a Georgia car with pictures during the restoration available to serious buyers. This merc has approximatily 4500 miles on its V8 flathead engine. Duel carburetors, Offenhauser aluminum intake manifold and heads. Fenton ceramic coated duel exhaust manifolds with Smitty mufflers and Eco-chambers. Chromed engine compartment accessories. A 5 speed transmission on the floor. 12 volt conversion, electric wipers, am/fm/cd player. Remote control doors (inside and out) External battery backup jump-start and electric windows. Original seats were stripped and sand blasted, then covered in mauve velour material. Hand braded ropes and hand holds were added. Fiberglass bubble skirts, 2 new Coker front radial tires. Original working tear drop spotlights. Player spoke wheels. nosed,decked,frenched,and shaved. lake pipes, blue dot tail lights. PPG Black Cherry color paint, base coat clear coat. This merc has taken trophies for Best in Show, Best Paint, and first and second place in many car shows. trophies go with the car as well as the invoices for the cost of the restoration.
