1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Show Winner!
For sale is a 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Aero Sedean. The paint is a smooth transitioning maroon, the top is merlot starburst, The exterior is accessiriezed with a visor, skirts, bumper guards, passing eye, swamp cooler, spotlights and back up light.
The interior is finished with Hampton Coach pinstripe, an original pattern for 1948. Headliner and carpet and floor mats are all in perfect condition. The interior is accossorized with a hat holder, banjo steering wheel, Fulton traffic viewer, day night rear view mirror, GM tissue box, redhead flashlight, press-o-matic cigarette lighter, pipe holder, North Star compass, and rear window defroster fan.
The engine is a 235 CI straight six that runs perfect. Engine is from a 1958 Chevrolet Impala. Fenton split headers, and the rest is original parts and era correct accessories.
Additional accessories include a Wolf Whistle, Bomb Siren, glass washer bottle and overflow tank. The car is all 12 volt. There is a CD player inside the glovebox and a amp concealed in the trunk that supports the (4) interior speakers.
All the tires including the spare are BF Goodrich Silvertown in great condition. The steel wheels are Original Artellery wheels. Wheels are currently covered with crossbar hubcaps. Car comes with original hubcaps and beauty rings.
Frame is original and uncut. The car is lowered with lowering blocks and rides very smooth with an open drive rear end. The car goes freeway speed without any problem.
Background, this car was re-done in 2008 and has won best of show and or first place in every car show since. It was recently featured this year (2013) in Lowrider Scene Magazine and American Bomb Magazine.
