FOR SALE: 1946 Lincoln Continental
Here is one of the newest editions to the Just Toys Classic Cars family. We are proud to present this beautiful 1946 Lincoln Continental. These were VERY high dollar cars in their day. These were built to compete with the Bentley\'s and Rolls Royce of the day. Sticker price on these cars was in the 4,500 range. That was HUGE MONEY for 1946. This car is a Club Coupe and not a convertible, and they only made 246 of these originally. Now on to how it looks today. The paint on this car is in great shape and it is Brandy Wine over a gold base and the hood is painted black. The car was painted about 6 years ago and shows it\'s age very well. This car is a driver. You could get in this car today and three days later end up in California with no problems at all. Under the hood of this beauty is a Ford 460 Crate engine that has been bored .030 over and it is matted to a C6 transmission going back to a Ford 9 rear end with 2.43 gears. That allows this beast to get 17 MPG on the highway. Now that may not sound like much but folks we are talking about a 460 Cubic Inch motor that would normally get 8-10 MPG if you were lucky. There is a full stainless steel exhaust and you will love to hear the rumble out of the back. This car also rides on an air ride suspension that is fully automatic and adjustable so you can really ride in comfort. Now to the interior of this fine automobile. You are going to see a very well appointed tweed interior that is extremely roomy and comfortable. The back seat is actually the original to the car and was redone. As you look up you will see a custom headliner that is done in tweed as well. There is also a surprise in the headliner, and that is purple neon. That\'s right folks purple neon. This puts off a light glow and is not over powering the interior at all. The driver seat is power and the passenger seat is manual. What you are looking at here folks again is a very beautiful car that is going to be fun and easy to drive, and get great looks at every show that you go to. This was a rare car in 1946 and it is still a rare car today. Give J.R. a call today. We have financing available if you need it as well.
