FOR SALE: 1932 Ford 5 Window

Traditional-looking rods are red hot right and it seems that everything old is new again. Rods like this satin black \'32 Ford coupe definitely have the right look, and thanks to decades of development, you can have the vintage look without the vintage headaches, because this one runs like a new car. The body is fiberglass, but you\'d never know it by looking. Ford\'s 5-window coupe is always a favorite, and finishing it in satin black gives it a very definite \'50s low-buck vibe. But this is no homemade rod, with a recent professional build that takes great pains to look old but drive like new. Finish quality is excellent, disguising the fiberglass substrate as laser-straight sheetmetal and emphasizing the classic Ford shape. Door fit is exemplary, and the rear deck lid shows even gaps all around, which was tough even in 1932 with original Henry Ford steel. More traditional tricks include the \'Double Deuce\' logo on the cowl, vintage Moon Eyes decals, and hand-painted pinstripes on the trunk. No doubt someone did their homework before a single bolt was turned. Contrasting with the satin black, the red interior is first-class travel all the way. With finish quality and features that kids in the \'50s could only dream of, someone spent a ton of money finishing the inside of this little coupe. Traditional pleats on the seats and door panels keep it period-perfect, while things like the column-mounted tach, twin gauges in the center of the dash, and a spoon-style accelerator pedal, it has all the same cues as a car built in-period. A modern take on the banjo steering wheel means that steering is easy and the leather-wrapped rim is a luxurious touch that you\'ll appreciate. The lone concessions to modern convenience are the tilt column and power windows. The trunk is finished to match, with red carpets and pleated side panels, and there\'s plenty of room for a cross-country cruise, even with the battery stashed back there. The flathead is back. This one is a real 1949 Ford piece augmented by a bunch of vintage-looking speed parts that are actually brand new and even better than the originals. Offenhauser finned aluminum heads, a dual carb intake, and dual Ford 94 carburetors give it a vintage look that\'s so much cooler than a garden-variety crate motor. Headers dump into a custom-built dual exhaust and there\'s just no mistaking the flathead\'s voice. A rigid front axle with Mustang steering is rugged and maneuverable, and the frame is a custom-built unit painted bright red to contrast with the black paint. Out back there\'s a 9-inch Ford rear hanging on a 4-link suspension with coil-over shocks, and a painted gas tank extends away from the body as a separate styling element. A classic big-n-little combination offers wide whitewall tires on new steel wheels with vintage V8 hubcaps. A very traditional rod with less than 800 miles since it was completed, and it\'s ready to cruise today. Call now! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
