FOR SALE: 1931 Ford Victoria
This beautifully crafted 1931 Ford Victoria has already appeared on magazine covers and taken home some pretty big trophies. Today, it\'s a fully-sorted rod that\'s ready to hit the road and look great doing it, with a perfect stance, gorgeous paint, and a comfortable interior that is perhaps the ideal combination of practicality and style. More stylish than a tudor sedan and more comfortable than a business coupe, the Victoria was Ford\'s idea for a personal car that was all about style. Rendered in luscious candy apple red, it takes on a whole new dimension, and yes Ford fans, that\'s Henry steel on the body. Fiberglass fenders and running boards were subtly tweaked to work with the fat tires and lowered stance, then covered with more of that dazzling two-stage paint that makes this Ford glow like a hot coal on the show field. Great attention to detail explains why this was a magazine cover car, and despite the bright red finish, it\'s subtle in its modifications, sporting only a later Ford V8 greyhound hood ornament and a set of blue dot taillight lenses as modifications. Even the cowl lights and door handles survived the transformation intact, and all the stainless and chrome was been restored to show standards during the build. In 1931, the Victoria came standard with bucket seats that have been fairly faithfully re-created here. Sure, they\'re a little more plush and a little more comfortable for cross-country hauls, but they look right in the stylish 2-door body. Grey upholstery is the right choice, since you don\'t want to compete with the paint, and the durable materials still look great even after more than 13,000 miles of cruising. The original Model A instrument panel has been replaced by a full array of Stewart Warner gauges, including a speedometer with the coolest vertical odometer you\'ve ever seen, all nestled into a handsome custom wood dash. A tilt column and an AM/FM/cassette stereo system are great upgrades, and please note the subtle and beautifully rendered sculpting on the lower edges of the door panels. Climb in and discover how easy it is to get comfortable. This A has more than a few tricks up its sleeves, too. The engine is a 350 cubic inch Chevy topped by a 750 Holley carburetor, a combination that was perfected decades ago so you can hit the road without worries. Packaging is tight in the Model A\'s engine bay, but thanks to careful fabrication, everything fits under the stock hood and stays cool tnanks to a massive radiator and electric fan. It\'s backed by a TH400 transmission spinning a 1975 Corvette independent rear end. Four-wheel disc brakes give it massive stopping power for such a lightweight vehicle, and glasspack-style mufflers sound awesome. The wheels are genuine Cragar wires and wear staggered 205/70/15 front and 255/70/15 rear BFGoodrich radials. A classic rod with a few twists under its skin, what\'s not to love about this awesome Model A? Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
