FOR SALE: 1923 Chevrolet Series B
Rear Spare, Drivers Side Wiper, Original Horn . Chevrolet Superior line arrived to market with great success in 1922. Simplicity of the new chassis allowed for a great deal of flexibility in body design. A conventional 3 speed transmission provided more motive torque and power capability than the Ford Model T planetary transmission, which was rapidly becoming outdated despite the Model T\'s overwhelming popularity. Chevrolet management took note and designed a coupe that provided maximum utility inside a good looking package. These were often used by doctors or farmers as a very light cargo carrier. A local Antique Chevrolet expert stated that fewer than 12 of these 1923 Superior coupes exist today. The Chevrolet Superior coupe presented here earned a prize at a regional AACA show on the same day it arrived to our showroom. This sharp little Chevy coupe has more car show wins than some of our big luxury classics, including 2 Best of Show, 29 1st place in Category, A People\'s Choice Award, a 2nd and a 3rd place marks. Black paint is excellent and shines with the lustre of a concours car. The floor boards display are natural wood with bright varnish. Nickel radiator shell, vinyl top and upholstery were also refurbished to show quality. The car enjoyed a recent Frame-off restoration with 90% of it\'s original wood structure carefully preserved and refinished. Wheels have all-wood spokes naturally bright varnished to match the floorboards and running boards. Fans of antique metal-on-wood built cars will surely enjoy this coupe\'s presentation. The engine and mechanicals have been thoroughly fine-tuned to run as if the car just rolled out of the factory. Just one key turn is all that\'s needed to bring the strong running 4 cylinder to life.
